Riau & Anambas Islands, Indonesia
With regular ferry connections and an hour journey from Singapore Bintan Island is the largest of the islands in the Riau Island province with luxury retreats, world-class golf resorts and lovely beaches. It makes for an ideal addition to a Singapore city stay. Beyond Bintan you’ll discover an archipelago of islands, all part of Indonesia and widely scattered in the South China Sea, private island retreats and castaway Robinson Crusoe-esque islands beckon.

Where to stay in Riau & Anambas Islands
Bawah Reserve has a wonderful Robinson Crusoe feel, with forest-covered islands, secluded beaches and clear lagoons giving it a real sense of escape. Snorkelling, forest walks and spa treatments bring adventure and indulgence to this remote island retreat.
