December to March is our favourite time to visit Langkawi, with generally drier days for enjoying the beaches and exploring by boat. It’s warm year-round, though showers become more frequent outside these months, keeping the rainforest beautifully green. Further south, islands such as Pangkor Laut welcome visitors throughout the year, with a less pronounced seasonal pattern. Wherever you stay, a little flexibility leaves room for both tropical showers and sunshine.
Where to stay in Langkawi
Rainforest retreats, elegant beach resorts and private-island hideaways offer lovely ways to experience Malaysia’s west coast. On Langkawi, choose between secluded bays backed by jungle and beachfront stays closer to restaurants and local life.
