The Arkaba Station Conservancy is a 1850s five-bedroom homestead set in the heart of the ancient Flinders Ranges, home to some of the most spectacular outback scenery in the country.
It offers a taste of classic Australian country hospitality with craggy sandstone bluffs and dry creek beds lined with River Red Gum trees, a quintessential Australian scene, while the acclaimed geological amphitheatre of Wilpena Pound lies on the property's northern boundary.
Just a four-and-a-half-hour drive from Adelaide (or a one-hour scenic charter flight), the Flinders Ranges is undoubtedly one of the most accessible outback destinations in Australia.
The homestead's luxury guestrooms are full of character and each has a shaded verandah, ensuite and excellent views of the ranges.

Sleep
The Arkaba Homestead itself is a classic Flinders building, with thick stone walls, deep shady verandahs and corrugated roofing, all set against the backdrop of the rugged Elder Range. Four traditional style bedrooms are located in the homestead, each with an en suite bathroom and access to the verandah for relaxing in the heat of day. The Coachman’s Cottage in the corner of the garden provides a fifth guest room with en suite bathroom. The rooms are air conditioned and have been designed with the homestead’s heritage in mind. With no telephones, televisions, minibars or the typical features of a hotel room to distract, the focus is on the experience in one of the most beautiful settings in Australia.
