Located in the untouched Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, one of the most southerly in the Maldives, Ayada sits within 37-acres of private tropical paradise, just a few kilometres north of the equator. Accessed via a domestic flight from Malé and short speedboat transfer, the journey to Ayada is all part of the adventure and worth every minute. From the moment you step off the boat and feel the powder-soft sand beneath your feet, you will be absorbed into Ayada’s ‘no shoes, no news’ way of life. Home to one of the country's best house reefs, teeming with vibrant marine life, for those who love the world beneath the waves, this is one island not to miss.

Each of Ayada’s 122 villas and suites offer a blend of contemporary and traditional Maldivian design. The thatched roofs create a barefoot Robinson Crusoe feel, whilst large egg-shaped baths, outdoor rain showers and state-of-the art facilities add that modern touch. For families, we recommend the Beach Villas and Beach Suites, cleverly hidden within the lush flora and fauna which spills on to the sparkling-white sand. Privacy is paramount, with a spacious indoor/outdoor living concept, complete with a pool and daybed. There are interconnecting options available for larger groups and flexibility when it comes to children and adults sharing one room. For couples and families with older children, the stilted Ocean Suites are stunning, each with a private pool, a large outdoor terrace and ocean-view hammock.
