Siargao is a small teardrop-shaped island 800km south of Manila at the north-eastern tip of Mindanao in the east of The Philippines. March to September generally brings Siargao’s drier weather, making it a lovely time for beach stays, island exploring and boat excursions. Surf conditions vary between breaks, with September and October particularly popular among experienced surfers. Rain becomes more frequent towards the end of the year, so outdoor plans may need a little flexibility. Unlike many other Philippine islands, Siargao’s best beach weather coincides with much of our spring and summer.

Surfing & Island Life
Surfing is woven into Siargao’s identity, and you don’t need to pick up a board to enjoy the atmosphere it brings. Around General Luna and the celebrated Cloud 9 break, local cafés, restaurants and little bars draw an international community who have fallen for island life. Watch experienced surfers tackle the waves, or take a lesson at a gentler spot chosen by your instructor. Beyond the best-known breaks, the Pacific coast reveals fishing boats, quiet beaches and surf spots best discovered with a knowledgeable local guide.
